A Vision for 2050 - Mobility

Victoria de Durango is dependent primarily on personal cars and taxi for transportation. There isn’t a fixed, sustainable, and efficient system in the city which is very important because transportation is so vital for any liveable city. There is many transportation systems like cycling. It is very important for every city to have infostructure supports commuting with bicycles. Our goal in Durango is to enhance cycling infostructure. By 2050 we strive a city where you feel more comfortable biking then driving a car. Freely, safely and efficiently by:

·       Establishing bike paths along with cars.

·       Spreading bikes signs.

·       Installing parking spaces all over the city especially in city centre.

·       Prioritizing cycling everywhere.

By 2050 our goal is to have an operating tram system in Durango city along with Bus system. What we want is not a normal public transport but very efficient which take advantage of Durango’s city weather and fulfil its needs. Durango has a hot weather which can be invested in solar power. Our idea is to have solar panels on all trams in buses operating in Durango which covers part of their needs. We want to go beyond that and have a full system powered by solar power. With the efforts of establishing solar farms. We thought of having solar panels over the roofs of the parking lots which will charge the buses. Renewable energy is the future of Durango city transportation system which will be cleaner, environment friendly. This system will replace the fossil- fuelled vehicles.

Our huge step will be in the driving system. In development of AI technologies and algorithms. By 2050 our trains and buses will be fully automated (self-driven). The systems will no longer need any human intervention but completely indepentdent relying on the techonolgies, sensors, and Articfical intaligence to perceive their surroundings, make decisions, and control their movements. The primary goal of autonomous cars is to enhance safety, efficiency, and convenience in transportation. They won’t be susceptible for human errors and mistakes. Safety is priority in modern world. Efficiency will be increased.
